Contemporary Sikh politics is passing through a phase of severe stagnation. Many Sikh political parties – (so-called) mainstream political parties and panthic political parties are there but they are not able to reflect Sikh ethos in their activism. This talkshow was an attempt to identify the basic reasons for this situation.

Sikhs are politically subjugated under unitary Indian state, that is showing acute intolerance towards distinct entities/cultures/ethnicities. Currently about 100 Sikh political prisoners are confined in various jails of India, whereas about 150 others are facing cases in different courts.
